I have managed to get the file upload functionality working. Complete with progress bar and the ability to cancel an upload. I'm making real progress! I have also decided to use the Unlicense to oficially make this a free program.

This is quite a lot of work. The file upload code could still use some work, but it will do for now. Quite a bit left to do before I'd consider it a complete project though.
I even made a Calculator related purchase today. While at a thrift store I found a cable to link an HP palm top computer to a PC. It just so happens the cable also works on my HP 48G calculator! So now I can connect my calculator to a computer. This expands the possibilities for the calculator use...
